Make the assessment useful from the start
A wide view and a short paint list help explain a Dunleer project before an assessment is arranged. Name the rooms or elevations, show their current condition and say whether you want a colour change or a refresh of what is there.
Include your preferred timing, particularly if access depends on keys being handed over, another trade finishing or someone travelling to the property. Those arrangements belong in the first conversation rather than becoming a surprise on the day.
Separate walls, ceilings and woodwork
For interiors, ceilings, door faces, frames and skirting should be named instead of assumed. Add close-ups of chips or lifting paint, and identify recent plastering. The new plaster guide explains why readiness and the selected product need checking before a decorating date is fixed.
For decorative detail, say whether it is already fitted and what finish is on it. If you are planning new panels, send the full wall and the style reference. Fitting, making good and painting need separate responsibilities in the agreed scope.
When work needs to happen in stages
If you cannot empty the whole house, identify the rooms you can make available first. Agree where furniture will go and how rooms will be returned to use between stages. A smaller first stage can be useful, but check whether ceilings and connecting woodwork are being left for another visit.
For a vacant property, set out the handover and other works in order. Ask what preparation and drying need to happen before flooring, furniture or normal room use resumes. Product instructions and actual conditions set that sequence.
Include the rear and side walls outside
An exterior enquiry needs more than the frontage. Show the gables, extensions and any narrow passages. Identify walls that need closer assessment, and distinguish painting from repairs or replacement work. Our exterior cost and scope guide helps compare those inclusions consistently.
See the finish, then talk about your home
Browse the hall, stairs and landing sequence to see the surfaces and details involved. This is a real team work example; its location is not identified for publication.

Planning painting in Dunleer?
Send a few photos, your area and what you have in mind. We can discuss the scope and whether a visit is needed for a quote.
Planning a fence colour change?
For an existing garden boundary, see our fence painting service. Include the timber condition, dimensions and the sides to be painted. Coverage is confirmed for the actual address before arranging a visit.
Arrange the next step for Dunleer
Include Dunleer and the actual surrounding locality if outside town. The team checks the address, journey and scope before confirming a visit; a town listing does not guarantee every address or date.
We start from Dundalk and generally consider work around a 30-minute journey. The actual address, access, scope and availability are checked before arranging a visit. Send your town, a few wide photographs, close-ups of problem areas and the surfaces you want included. A visit may be needed before the quote is finalised.
Call or send your project photos, or check the full coverage area. Confirm the scope and arrangements before booking.
